Safety and care guide
To ensure safe use of your device, please read and follow these safety instructions carefully. Failure to do so may result in injury, damage to the product, or reduced functionality.
General Safety Precautions
xBand is not a toy. It is intended for personal use as a vibration-based time and notification device. It is not a medical device and should not be relied upon for emergency notifications or critical alerts.
The device should only be used as intended and by individuals aged 14 years and older. Children should use xBand under adult supervision.
Do not attempt to disassemble, modify, or repair the device. Modifications may lead to malfunction or safety hazards.
Battery and Charging Safety
xBand contains a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Only use the provided charging pad and a certified USB-C power adapter that supports 5V.
Do not charge the device if the charging pad, USB-C cable, or power adapter is damaged.
Avoid exposing the device or charger to water, moisture, or extreme temperatures (outside the range of -10°C to 40°C).
Charge xBand only in a dry and well-ventilated environment and ensure the device and charger are not covered during charging.
If the device overheats, emits smoke, or has a swollen battery, stop using it immediately and contact support.
Water and Environmental Protection
xBand is resistant to minor moisture exposure (e.g., sweat and light rain) but should not be submerged in water. Do not wear it in the shower, bath, or while swimming.
Avoid using or storing xBand in dusty, humid, or corrosive environments.
Keep the charging pad dry at all times. It has low moisture protection and should not come into contact with water.
Skin Contact and Hygiene
xBand is designed for extended wear but should be cleaned regularly to prevent bacterial buildup and skin irritation.
Clean the plastic main unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use strong chemicals.
The textile wristband can be cleaned with mild detergent and air-dried. If it shows excessive wear, replace it.
If you experience skin irritation or discomfort, stop wearing the device and consult a healthcare professional.
Safe Usage Guidelines
xBand should not be used if it:
- Feels unusually hot
- Emits unusual vibrations, sounds, or odors
- Shows physical damage (cracks, swelling, or loose parts)
Do not place excessive force or pressure on the device, as this may damage internal components.
Avoid exposing the device to magnetic fields or strong electromagnetic interference (e.g., MRI machines).
Handling and Disposal
xBand contains electronic components and a battery. Do not dispose of it in household waste.
Follow local electronic waste recycling guidelines for safe disposal.
The battery should be disposed of at designated recycling centers in accordance with the EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542).
Warranty and Support
xBand is covered by a limited warranty. Opening or modifying the device voids the warranty.
