xTactor participated alongside Iris Hjälpmedel at SightCity in Frankfurt, one of the largest assistive technology fairs for people with visual impairments. It was an incredibly interesting and inspiring event where we had the opportunity to present xTactor and our wristband xBand.
During the fair, we met a variety of visitors, including private individuals, organizations, companies, and potential partners. The response we received was overwhelming and confirmed the great interest and need for information via vibrations.
xBand attracted a lot of attention with its features that allow users to receive mobile notifications, reminders, and time through discreet vibrations. Many visitors were curious about how xBand can improve their daily lives and provide them with a greater sense of freedom and independence.
We also had the opportunity to present our future product based on EMG technology (electromyography). This project won the PTS Innovation Competition 2023 and is therefore partially funded by the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority. The EMG technology allows text input through finger movements, without the need for buttons, aiming to provide even more ways for users to interact with their devices through muscle movements and vibrations.
It was a fantastic opportunity to network with other industry players and discuss future collaborations. We look forward to building on the contacts we made and continuing to develop innovative solutions that can improve the quality of life for the visually impaired.
Thank you to everyone who visited us at SightCity and for your interest in xTactor and xBand.
